The Coleman A. Jennings Papers are now located in the Briscoe Center for American History located at UT Austin.  The collection is a treasure trove of production photos, play scripts, correspondence, teaching materials, and prompt books.

A high level catalogue of the content of the papers has been completed and can be viewed by following this link.

The digitizing of the collection and the creation of a detailed catalogue of the contents of the collection is an ongoing process.  As the content is organized in more detail, the searchable database will be updated to reflect the process.

Anyone who wishes to do research in the collection  should register with the Briscoe Center and request that the material be pulled from the closed stacks and storage area.  The process of pulling the requested materials usually takes about a week.  The library will contact the researcher when the requested material is available and researchers can work with the collection in the Briscoe Reading Room which is open six days a week.

One of the primary purposes of this website and oral history project is to collect funds needed to facilitate the detailed inventory of the collection making it a fully searchable resource for students of the field of Theatre for Young Audiences.

“Through my years in this profession, I have learned that even more satisfying than creating the stories myself, is teaching others to do it.”
